Malacca (Melaka in Malay) is the third smallest Malaysian state in Malaysia, and it’s only around 4.5 hours journey by bus from Singapore (plus customs passing time). It was also inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2008. Therefore a lot of Singaporeans love to visit there during weekend. I finally decided to go for my first visit after 1 year living in Singapore!

麻六甲是馬來西亞靠近新加坡的一個小城市, 聽說很多好吃的, 而且被列為世界遺產之一, 因此搬來新加坡的一年後, 終於決定要去麻六甲度過一個週末! 從新加坡到麻六甲唯一的交通方式就是坐車, 坐巴士(加過海關的時間) 大約4.5小時. 新加坡有很多巴士公司都有營運馬來西亞路線, 因此訂票很方便喔！大部份的起站點在綠線的Lavender station 或是從Lavender station走一小段的Golden Mile Complex (是一棟裡面很多泰國菜還有泰國商品的建築), 至於要搭哪個巴士可以看哪家巴士的停靠站靠近你訂的住宿來決定. 這次我們是在以下這個網站訂的：

去程坐 The One Travel & Tours (超級不推, 網路無法選位被排在第一排又是輪胎上面超震, 車子很舊所以司機開超級慢, 在休息站司機莫名不見一小時讓所有人苦等, 竟然坐了7小時才到根本是不可思議..)
回程坐 Luxury Coach Exclusive (推薦!! 網路可以選位, 車況不錯還有電視可以看, 有車長小姐報告車程狀況, 非常準時抵達)

The only way to go to Malacca is by bus/car. We booked the bus ticket via an online website: http://www.busonlineticket.com/
Most of the starting station is at Lavender station or Golden Mile Complex (near Lavender station) and you may decide the bus company based on the destination stop which is closer to the hotel you book.
Outbound: we choose The One Travel & Tours which was a horrible experience (very old bus, drive super slow, no English speaker guide so we don’t know how long the break is during the trip, the driver disappeared during one of the break for an hour.. so eventually took us 7 hours to arrive in Malacca!!!!!)Inbound: we choose Luxury Coach Exclusive which was a great experience (good bus condition, there is 1 english speaking tour guide with us, always efficient when taking a break, and arrived just on time in Singapore)

Because of our unexpected 7 hours bus trip, we arrived at Malacca at 3pm without eating anything but cookies.. we immediately rush to the most famous chicken rice place (Chop Chung Wah) for a BIG late lunch!! There was a long queue but it was worth it! The chicken rice is very special because they roll it into balls which actually taste even better.. in my opinion! haha

結果我們八點出發, 下午三點才到, 實在餓到不行就先衝去最有名的中華茶室, 繼續排隊忍餓20分鐘總算是吃到了好吃的海南雞還有雞飯粒, 菜單也只有這兩樣真是太酷了!! 不知道是不是我太餓了, 我覺得這餐是在麻六甲最好吃的一餐阿!!!

接下來就是一連串的觀光行程

Then we started our sightseeing schedule:
San Shu Kong (just next to Chung Wah chicken rice, famous for some food souvenirs, but I didn’t buy anything there..)
三叔公, 充滿一堆要買紀念品的觀光客, 但沒有特別吸引我..

Jonker Street is the main street in Malacca, and in the evening it will become a night market street. There are quite a lot of shops to look around!

麻六甲的主要街道 雞塲街 (Jonker Street), 這裡真的很小, 這兩天不知道經過這條街幾遍了.. 晚上會搖身一變成夜市喔!! 還會賣很多台灣小吃 XD

I enjoy seeing all these southeast asian & Nyonya style buildings a lot! They are well-preserved and unique with many colors!
麻六甲最有感覺的就是這些古色古香的建築, 充滿當地南洋和娘惹特色, 而且都保存的很好唷！很多建築的門口都會有匾額, 上面寫著家裡的姓氏或是店名.

這個福建會館非常顯眼而且有特色, 很多觀光客都忍不住停下來拍照.

Christ Church which is constructed in 1753 and it reflects original Dutch architecture.
基督堂於1753年建造, 反映了當時荷蘭建築風格 (曾被荷蘭人統治)

St. John’s Fort is another must visit place and it’s situated in a small hill where you can also get a good view of the city.

聖約翰城堡 位在城內一個小山丘上, 從上面也可以俯瞰麻六甲.

這裡的砲台是面對內陸而不是海邊, 主要因為當時的威脅都是來自內陸喔！

Jonker Street in the evening: NIGHT MARKET!!!!! 夜市來囉!!!! 

終於要來介紹美食啦!!!!

大寶小食: 分甜食和鹹食兩區, 鹹食就是馬來的Laksa, 我們點鴛鴦Laksa, 有點辣但是椰奶味沒有新加坡的濃, 還滿好吃的!! 甜食是來這裡必吃的八寶精樂, 有點像銼冰, 但是上面淋的醬好甜所以沒有很愛吃!

Finally it’s time to introduce some food!!!
Jonker 88 is a popular place for its Laksa and Chendol. I tried both and I actually like the Laksa here more than the Singapore version, as for Chendol, it’s too sweet for me..

In the nightmarket, we found an interesting cocoanut juice stand and they actually remove the cocoanut husk and sell the entire flesh & juice. Looks funny :p
這裡的夜市賣的椰子汁居然是把整顆果肉挖出來再插吸管, 彈跳的果肉真是太可愛了!!

Nancy’s Kitchen: a very famous Nyonya restaurant. Less people in the evening, so we didn’t queue for a long time. It’s our first time to try Nyonya food so we just ordered whatever looks good in the photo menu, and they were really special and delicious! The flavors are unique and new to us. I especially love the spring roll. There are also a lot of people came just to buy their pineapple cake, so we also bought one box and it was really good and not too sweet!!

Nancy’s Kitchen: 書上介紹的有名娘惹餐廳, 建議晚上來比較少人. 因為是第一次吃娘惹菜, 只能看圖片憑感覺點餐, 都很好吃耶!! 而且是完全沒吃過的口感和味道. 後來看到很多人進去買鳳梨塔, 所以就跟著買了一盒, 果然是好吃又不甜!!

After eating too much, we saw a massage next to Nancy’s kitchen, so we just entered and tried the Foot reflexology. It was quite cheap with nice environment and comfortable service. Good to give it a try!

這家是在Nancy’s kitchen隔壁的按摩店, 剛好吃飽喝足就想說做一下腳底按摩, 價錢不貴而且環境也很不錯, 按摩的技術還滿不錯的, 推薦給大家喔！
